I've recently switched to bar dish soap and I need some ideas on how to best use it. It came on a small platform which I'm not fond of. I usually end up putting it in a bowl but I want a better solution.
I also use bar dish soap! My favorite is the No Tox Life bar. Currently I have it on a small square tile sample leftover after my parents remodeled their kitchen. Its perfect cause it has lots of little holes in it so it drains well. My friend has the No Tox Life Bamboo Soap Shelf and she seems to like it, but that might be similar to what you currently have. I have been eyeing this Vivaljo soap dish on Etsy but haven't purchased yet, maybe its time to give it a try!
I have two compostable dish brushes that I use. I just get them wet, rub a bit on the dish block, and then clean like normal. I have found the first few uses you have to get the bar really really wet. Its definitely an adjustment using it so I'm not too surprised you aren't immediately in love.
Haha! Mine did that too at first. Over time the soap will sort of stick in place from all the water. This is why that one dish holder from Etsy looks so appealing! It has some walls to it!
I use a bamboo soap shelf that I got from grove for my soaps and hair conditioner bar. Is that similar to what you are using right now for your dish soap bar?
I clicked on the link for the soap dish Kelsey listed above. That one looks like it would stop your bar from slipping off. I might get one similar for my shower. The shelf my stuff sits on slopes downward a tad and my soap always slips off the bamboo shelf lol
