We need a new mattress and my husband suggested we try a foam one but we never had one before. Are they firm? Do they dip down? Do you have any brand in mind? Thanks for any advice!
I have a purple mattress and love it! My partner and I have had it for 4 years now and haven't had any dips occur and we're both plus-size people so it's great. I would say it's medium-firm compared to the traditional mattress, doesn't sink or anything.
If you have Jordan's furniture store nearby you, I would advise you to go there to see the mattresses and get the BridgeIT test done. It helped us a lot with the purchase of our new mattress.
We have a Leesa brand mattress and have really been happy with it. It is firm and we have not experienced it dipping down. We are sure to rotate it on a regular basis however. My partner and I like it so much we recently bought a second one.
I am in love with my Sleep Number bed! I love being able to adjust my side to the way that feels right for me without compromising my partner's comfort level on their side.
I recently purchased the Wink bed after the winter storm destroyed mine. At first I felt like I paid to much because it didn’t feel like a “cloud”, but I think my body just had to adjust to it. I tend to prefer firm beds, and got the “luxury firm”. I gotta say after two week trial my body loves it!
I love my bed from SleepEZ.com. They sell several beds, but I have 3 layers of Talalay latex. You get to choose the firmness of each layer when you order (ie: all firm, all medium, mix of soft, medium, etc). Excellent customer service - I had several long calls with them before, during and after my purchase. The thing I like about these are that I can change the make-up of my bed. I bought a firm, medium and soft layer. I have mixed up those layers every which way. Now I have soft on the bottom, firm in the middle and medium on top. The Talalay latex is so much nicer than the more common Dunlop latex. They come with a fairly stiff cover as mattress ticking. But I asked for the softer, flexible cover so I could get more "feel" from the bed.
