We love our regular electricians, but there are booked up for months . . . we need to get an electric recharge station installed in our garage ASAP so we can do rapid charging at home. Any suggestions?
I don't know about his availability, but Keithly Electric did a great job running power to our detached garage and installing our EV recharging station. freshchalk.com/keithly-elec...
If you already have the electrical line in your garage and just need to change the receptacle (e.g. you already have a dryer outlet with 220 or 240v running to it and just need to change to a different NEMA plug shape), you might be able to find a handyman who can do the work quickly.
I like Steve Dossick’s suggestion above, that will likely be the fastest way forward. My Electrician just told me he is booked up 30 days out but he’s worth it. Ed,
We have a direct line from the garage to the laundry room with the 240v outlets (unfinished basement) and a newly installed panel, so I think it's a pretty straightforward job to extend the line and add the proper receptacle for the 6-ft charging cord that came with our vehicle (Volvo xc40 Recharge)-- I will contact your suggestions, thank you!
