Looking for a financial planner

I'm divorcing my wife and need sound financial advice to make sure I'm not being taken advantage of and that I'm getting spousal support I need because I'm the lower wage earner. Thanks for any recommendations.

I've worked with Kevin Skogen at Mainspring Wealth Advisors (a division of Raymond James) for over a decade now - through my divorce - and I can't recommend him and his team highly enough. mainspringwa.com

There are many options and it all depends on your needs and whether it is a good fit. For some a broker or bank relationship is sufficient, but if you need a more holistic approach - planning for tax, risk, estate, retirement, college education, philanthropic, etc you may want to explore with a firm that has the capabilities. Always willing to chat.

We used Teresa Sisk at Pathways to Resolution for our financial mediation. The process was relatively painless, I think in large part because she has a no-nonsense approach and is able to take a lot of the emotion out of the process.
