Looking for a gastroenterologist

I haven't been to him in a few years- but I recommend Dr. Bruce Tung. I saw him for EoE and I was struck by how much time he spent discussing my symptoms and course of treatment. He took the time to listen and ask questions. He's funny too. I mentioned that sometimes when I eat carrots, they get stuck in my throat. He looked at me for a moment, and said, "Yeah, me too. Don't eat carrots". I smiled and moved on because I think he was kidding (maybe?) but it's possible that he was being serious. I still eat carrots - cautiously.

I can second the recommendation for Dr. Tung at the Polyclinic, he has worked with both my father and I on similar issues.

Dr. Richard Kozarek at Virginia Mason. He's fabulous, also works at The Cleveland Clinic, has been in practice a long time, and was the one person who finally was able to diagnose my ex-husband after three years of doctors and procedures and testing by other docs. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Had my appointment with Dr. Tung this morning. He listened patiently to my history and poorly informed theories about GERD. I liked him and I think I found my new gastro. Another scope coming up soon. Thanks guys!
