Looking for options on where I can kennel my dog when I'm out of town. I like the place I use, but she's getting older and was hoping for a different, more personal place.
It may be a bit far for you, but we LOVE Camp Charlie in Duvall - our total go-to place and we always feel so good taking our Pauli-Girl (yellow lab) there. She comes home exhausted and happy every time! You can splurge and have them give your pup a bath before pick up - nice to have a fresh smelling dog in the car!
I've had good experiences with Rover.com. My dog gets highly stressed at kennels so he stays at a sitter's house with 0-3 other dogs for company. Sitters are vetted and mine have all been great. They pay attention to special instructions, make sure dogs get exercise (probably more than my boy gets with me) and send pictures while you are gone. Costs start around $35/day. Rover is very flexible and I have settled in on 2-3 regulars not far from me. Highly recommend.
