Dan was very thoughtful and friendly to work with. We tried a few options to our garage door puzzle before we landed on the right one. He was super busy so the job took a little longer than anticipated but very good work and service and would definitely recommend and call him again!

I found Dan's Garage Door Services thanks to the lovely people here on Fresh Chalk who took the time to make a recommendation. We have an older 1968 house with two bone-ugly wooden garage doors, the solid kind that swing up, and the mechanisms were old and so loud. We finally decided to replace them because now we need to move a taller vehicle into the garage. I didn't even mess around with other service providers to get quotes - the recommendations below sold me. Dan came out to give us a quote and he was every bit as kind and helpful as everybody said. He listened very attentively and understood that it was critical that we have enough clearance afterward for a taller vehicle. He offered some creative solutions to make absolutely certain it would work for us. Originally the installation was scheduled for late February/early March, but he was able to move our date up a few weeks, which we greatly appreciated. The doors look fantastic, and I'm sure our neighbors will be as grateful as we are, since they're the ones who have to look at the house all day.

I can't say how the cost would compare to other vendors, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find anybody nicer or more customer-oriented than Dan and his crew.

Dan did a great job servicing our very old garage door opener, which hadn't been working properly. I assumed we would have to replace the motor, but he was able to tighten a few bolts and replace a few parts, which he had on his truck so we didn't have to wait. He was done in less than an hour. He also responded to our call and came to our house the next day. Will definitely use him again.

In 30 minutes he diagnosed, repaired and did overall maintenance on my garage door - super affordable and quick service. I wish all home repairs were this easy!

If you haven't used dan yet, what are you waiting for? He is half the price of other services, super prompt, and just an all around great guy. I dont even want to know how far he drove today to do a $29 repair for me. He is new so other companies are reviewed more, but seriously he is who you need to use.

I called Dan's Garage because of other recommendations and am so glad I did. I live in a 1924 home with a garage door that is almost as old. A random piece broke, but the rest of the system is built like a tank and still worked great. Why replace the whole thing when I only needed a single metal piece. Only problem is I had no idea what to call it and no one seems to make these kind of systems anymore. Dan came over within a day, took a look at the piece and then started treasure hunting for me. I had already checked all the reuse places, so I was hoping he had some secret aces up his sleeve. Sure enough, he did! After a week of searching, he found a vintage supplier who had the piece. Although the repair once we had the piece took only minutes, the search for this piece was like finding a needle in a haystack. So glad I called Dan and will definitely go to him again. Kind, courteous and definitely wants to do the best by his customers even when it is such a small issue. This guy understands the value of long term relationships!
