Dr. Norifumi Kamo

Flew from Nashville to Seattle for appointments- I had my labs drawn and was sitting in the exam room when the doctor refused to see me. He informed his nurse or medical assistant that I should instead follow up with my pcp who is on a sabbatical. This was rude and doesn’t take into consideration the financial impact and time wasted. I work for a hospital and we do not treat patients like this. I hope to hear from Press Gainey to comment on this physician and Virginia Mason as a whole. There was no mention of any emergency or reason. I was given a print out of my age and vitals. They knew my physical is out and I would not be able to connect now until September via a video visit. What a waste - rude and poor bedside manner. I can see why others have rate Dr Kamo with 1 star.

Dr. Kamo is thorough, takes the time to explain and provide documentation, and is great at articulating the pros/cons of treatment options. His unassuming demeanor makes patients relaxed and Dr. visits comfortable.

Great doc if you're in the U Village area.
