Having been a fan of Swatch watches since their heyday in the 80's, I was excited to learn about their Swatch x You customization option, where you can now customize the straps and what's visible on the transparent face from an assortment of stylish prints, as well as what the inner gear mechanisms look like, and personalizing it with a short message on the back of the case (which comes as an added charge). You design the watch by moving the mock-up watch across the design you've chosen to highlight the area you want printed. There are other options for bold, solid strap colors as well if you don't want a funky print. And you get to choose the the model/size of the dial. It's a really fun process and experience.
Swatch is still Swiss-made, which is a testament to the quality. They are incredibly lightweight, and feel comfortable on the wrist all day. The straps are soft, yet durable lightweight rubber that doesn't irritate the skin. The case is water-resistant, not waterproof so a splash or two is fine, but I would avoid taking it swimming or keeping it submerged underwater. What I love about Swatch is how unique they are for being a standard analog watch with visible gear movements. Plus, the colors really make the wrist pop when you rock with your favorite outfits. I'm mostly happy just having a watch I know is uniquely mine, that keeps me from pulling out my phone to see what the time is. Also, if it's really silent, you can hear the second-hand ticking away, which is something I've always loved about analog watches.
