Claritin is the only thing that helps me and I have to take it for at least a week without missing a dose before I see any improvement.

I take prescription allergy med daily year round here in Texas but when it's not enough, I live and die by Vick's Sinex. And the spray is genius compared to others as you don't have to tilt or hold your head backwards to get enough.

Other than Claritin, I like Flonase. I put it on before bedtime to help with the stuffiness at night.

We have super bad Texas allergies I have been on Zyxal for well over 10 years it has been the only med to help me. I also do take Flonase 2 times a day or neti pot if it is more congested than irritation. I also do add the behind the counter Sudafed when it gets super bad and I find probiotics regularly help with my allergies as well. Sending you good vibes allergies are awful.

Like most folks who moved here, I didn’t know I had allergies until I moved here.
I’ve live in Cali, Arizona, Virginia, and have traveled the world, never had an issue…. that was until I moved to Austin.

Tried it all- useless. The only thing that worked for me is Flonase. Works for everything, and never had any issues since I started it. Going on nearly 5 years of mostly no issues.

Other than that, apparently there’s some sort of allergy immunization shots that you can get from your doc. They require monthly trips, but the folks I know who get them swear by them. Never tried them since Flonase works for me.

It may sound a little wild, but chiropractic really makes a difference. Chiropractic adjustments don't directly treat allergies or boost the immune system, but they do minimize disruptions to the nervous system so our bodies better function as they should. Bonus: better sleep, fewer headaches... Usually covered by health insurance.

The only remedy for me is Advil Cold and Sinus which is over-the-counter, but you need a valid ID to purchase from the pharmacy. I have suffered from sinus issues my entire life and have run the gamut in trying both natural remedies and others and this is the only thing that clears me out.

I've gone through two rounds of allergy shots...one 15 years ago and right now. It was interesting to get retested (allergy shots can diminish over time) before this current round of shots. I'm not allergic to several things that I was before. Now my doctor is targeting just the things (trees, weeds, grasses) that I still have a sensitivity to. I still take Zyrtec every day but I can actually breathe waaaay better than before.

I love my allergy shots. I can tell when I am getting sick and my shot knocks it right out. Always have Zyrtec by the side just in case.

I just saw the strangest/grossest/can’t not look TikTok of people putting garlic cloves in their noses to drain all the nasty stuff.
