I have somewhat of a recommendation for you. Ambi. I'm dark skinned, and so any scar on my skin turns dark. I did a ton of research, and the brown community seems to recommend Ambi. I bought it and I use it. But I am not good at consistency. So while the product is lovely and doesn't seem to clog my pores or cause any problems, I can't promise my skin is lighter. But people rave and it's (relatively) inexpensive. If you're disciplined, I think it's worth the investment in giving it a try!
