I went into a deep research hole a few months ago and landed on Royal Canin. Essentially, there's a FDA investigation between grain-free dog food and canine-dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), or canine heart disease, in layman's terms.
I also read that the big box brands of Royal Canin, Purina Pro, and Hill's all have in-house vets that do extensive research to make sure their formulation is well-balanced, something that smaller brands might not have the funds to do. Purina is owned by Nestle, which is evil mega-corp, so I try to avoid any brand owned by them and I haven't seen any recalls or issues with Royal Canin so went with them. Cece's been pretty happy on Royal Canin!
