book recs!

I used to read all the time. I'm talking sometimes more than one book a week. But I havent read a book in so long. I'm trying to get back into reading but every book I pick up cant seem to keep my interest. I'll pretty much read anything, so what books have been your favorites recently?

If you want a sappy love story, The Light We Lost is a great pic and awesome beach read!

I tend to read more series books than stand alone so I don't have many stand alone book recommendations. A few of my favorites series are the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, the Fallen series by Lauren Kate, The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer, and the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

Highly recommend the Wings of Fire series. It's a multi-series, meaning it's story is split into series chunks. Only book I've ever read with almost no mention of humanity and the dragons aren't the monsters.

The Overstory by Richard Powers is amazing! I also just devoured Cavedweller by Dorothy Allison. If you're into speculative fiction at all, This is How You Lose the Time War is a really cool accessible read!

I just finished Somebody's Daughter: A Memoir by Ashley Ford. It is all about her childhood experience in Fort Wayne, IN. I thought it was a very interesting perspective. She's a local Indy author.

We set fire to the dark was a good book and got me back into reading. The Song of Achilles was good as well you will especially like it if you enjoy Greek myth retellings.
