Do you use a water flosser?

My daughter just got braces and I am considering a water flosser. Do they work well? Do you have one you like? I think WaterPik is the main brand.

My son got expanders a few weeks ago and his orthodontist recommended us to invest on one as he’ll have braces in a few months. He recommended WaterPik but I haven’t buy it yet. We are in the same boat

My sister has one and I’m telling you it’s like a comedy sketch every time I watch her do it. If you want your entire bathroom to flood every time you floss, get this. She’s watched videos and seen SO many tutorials and for some reason it makes the most mess I’ve ever seen a product make! It works amazingly but it’s so messy and inconvenient! She tells me all the time it’s almost not worth it, but then I tell her her smile looks incredible and we laugh😂

I do! WaterPik is the market leader. They work fine, assuming you can get your kid to spend two minutes each night on their teeth. Some dexterity is required and it can be messy while you are learning. Fun too.

Yes, we got the basic waterpik from Target when my oldest got braces. It's definitely worth the small investment when braces make it so hard to floss and brush well. It came with multiple tips so all the kids could use it.

Oh boy, I am picturing our bathroom looking like a splash pad! Note to self, have towels on hand and do not put pjs on until after flossing!

Wow! Thanks for all the advise. I guess we'll have to deal with the mess. Waterpik & towels added to the shopping list!

WATERPIK. EASY to use! Fill with WARM water. to Start: AIM squirt end of device into sink so it can begin pumping. Turn OFF. Put in mouth and aim between teeth and turn on. ADVICE: when finished - Dump leftover water into sink. Aim squirt end back in sink and turn on to evacuate ALL the water in the hose. Dries it out so mold doesn't form in hose. They are AMAZING. xo brenda

Waterpik is great! Highly recommended by dentists, easy to use and genuinely does the job! Also made in Fort Collins, Colorado for whatever that’s worth.

I got a great water flosser off of Amazon its a truewell brand.. I purchased it when my middle son got his braces and yes it can get crazy so I placed our right next to our shower so we all use it now while in the shower. Ot works amazing but like others have stated can and does make a nice mess if you try to use it at the sink.
I know they now actually make some that can hook up directly to your shower head but I haven't tried those yet as I'm very pleased with the truewell brand one we have now. Be sure to use the lowest setting when first starting and adjust the settings to your comfort level slowly as the highest setting can be too strong for those with sensitive gums. Other than that my family absolutely loves the water flossers and the dentist can see the benefits as well.
P.S. we actually put a bit of mouth wash in with the water for an overall better cleaning experience.

I love the overall clean feeling when adding in the mouthwash. I would not use just straight mouth wash as it works just as well with a 50/50 mix of water and your favorite mouthwash. Also I think if we used just straight mouthwash we would go through quite a bit of mouthwash as we are a family of 5 lol.
