Good option for dog boarding in Austin

Our family adopted a (large!) adult dog about a month ago. We generally travel quite a bit and are looking to start introducing our dog to a boarding facility that we can have confidence in when we leave. I don't mind driving a bit to get out of the urban core--our dog will benefit from having lots of room to run around in if possible! I'm especially interested in places that offer training as well as boarding. Thanks y'all!

Meg, we have the absolute best place ever we've used for like 12 years. We took our previous dog Roma there for many years and the day she died I emailed the owners to tell them their ranch was what I always imagined doggy heaven to look like. I cannot say enough good things about Barking Springs and the owners and staff. Dogs frolicking through fields of wildflowers and splashing in water. (Don't worry, they'll give your pup a bath on pick up day.) They have separate areas for big and little dogs and take into account personality, etc. Lucca gets so excited when we pull up. It's great because it's a bit farther out (a bit past the airport) but so worth it for the experience. Before Covid they also had a shuttle for doggy day care where they'd pick your pup up for the day and drop off in the evenings and a shuttle to take and pick up from the airport since it's so close. Take a look at their photos on Instagram and you'll be sold immediately.
