Nightmare of a travel experience...need suggestions on travel gear for parents

Lost way more things than anyone should on a trip recently, mostly because I am still figuring out what's the most efficient ways to pack. I usually fly Southwest, and can check 2 bags for free if that makes a difference! Thanks! :)

Luggage organizer bags are worth the money! I can separate my kids clothing and their gear into their own bags. It really helps to keep things where they need to be. We use them for overnights and staycations too!

Dirty laundry is always where we lose things while away- so we started bringing a mesh laundry bag or pop up hamper. We also use large cosmetic bags for organizing- all of our chargers and cords go in there, small electronics in another, one for every day cosmetics, etc.

Loving the ideas to store charger and dirty laundry. Just purchased the organizer bags for clothes and it’s a game changer! Keeps things neat vs a blown mess in the bag.

Thanks! I honestly hadn't even thought of those points and it's SOO true!

Key for me is packing less. I end up not using most of the stuff anyway... Also, I bought a set of these at REI years ago and I find them indispensable. For me bags are more useful than cubes:

They weigh nothing and are very durable. I use the blue one for all of our chargers.

Backpack with a water bladder is a must have for my family. That way I can carry their stuff and a battery backup for phones and water when out.
