The Keys

We're headed to the FL Keys soon for a long week vacation, staying near Marathon, but planning to traverse the whole keys. I'm looking for recommendations for must-try restaurants and tours, and recommended companies for jet ski rentals and deep sea fishing, plus any advice you have for fun stuff to do down there? We'll have our 11 and 8 year old with us.

If you're driving specially with kids, stop for a refreshment at Robert is Here, they make delicious fresh fruit smoothies, plus they have a small petting zoo. On Islamorada, you can have lunch (dinner) at Pierre's Restaurant. Food is simply delicious (I love their watermelon salad). They have a beautiful view and you dine right on the beach.

Thank you Clau C ! We're planning to stop in Boca to show our son the townhouse we lived in when he was born, and eat maybe on Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale where I used to work. Do you know of any really good restaurants there? I'm sure everything has changed since I was last there.

Pierre's looks AMAZING! And I'm glad you mentioned the smoothie place - I am always looking for truly healthy, whole food on the road

I agree with Clau! Love Robert is here and Pierre's. I also like this resort in Islamorada. Also Sombrero beach and Bahia Honda State Park. In Key West we like also The Lobster Shack. Have an amazing time!

Sally Peter Sounds like a fun weekend! I love the beach at Las Olas! We like Lona Cocina Tequileria, the food is great and it has beach view. If you like wine/cocktails try the Frozen Rose, so refreshing!
