I am a person who really likes a good vacuum. It all depends on what your specific needs are . I have pets so my focus is on making sure the vacuum has great suction to remove any trace of fur. I have a high priced Kirby (which I really wouldn’t recommend). It is well constructed, but heavy. I also have a Dyson, Oreck and a couple of Shark vacuum cleaners. I personally found my Dyson to be overrated. The Oreck was purchased because I needed a light weight vacuum after shoulder surgery. The Oreck is pretty good, and lightweight. However, I find Shark to be the best. I have a Shark Rotator, Shark Navigator DLX and a Shark Rocket duo clean. They are reasonably priced and do a great job. All of the above mentioned products are upright and bagless with the exception of the Kirby and Oreck which require bags.
Susan , I am not a big fan of the mike Dyson . Because , its a little hard onyour ear . But , I do recommend the shark . It will not Tank your budget .
