- I am in love with CorePower Yoga!!! I always thought yoga sounded so boring. I was a runner for 27 years, but my knees started hurting so I had to find some other type of exercise. The sculpt class is my favorite - kicks my ass every time, and it feels like I sweat out a lb of water. The endorphins are ridic and ALL the instructors are awesome - Lovvvve them!!!
If you like regular/standard/old-fashioned yoga, the sculpt class isn't for you. It's more of a fast-paced cardio class with weights, push ups, sit ups, and squats mixed with some yoga poses in a 90 degree room. There are a bunch of other classes, though. So you should be able to find one that suits you. The studio is pretty clean but I wish the floors were mopped more thoroughly in between classes so we wouldn't have to dodge drops/pools of sweat. Locker room includes several showers but it's crowded right after work. So you might not get a locker at that time. Overall, I'm extremely happy with CorePower and highly recommend it!! I refuse to try other places because I don't think I would get as good of a workout. Thank you, CorePower instructors, for saving my life ;) When I realized I couldn't run anymore, I thought I was going to die, but you guys are amazing...so enthusiastic, inspiring, friendly, happy, and challenging!
