Amour Vert Coco Luxe Fleece Pants
Women's Pants
I’m all for wearing sweatpants while working from home, but I’m getting tired of joggers and am more excited about a wide leg cozy pant. These have a delicious, fleece-y feel but they look truly elegant and pair beautifully with almost any top. Amour Vert is another great company that prioritizes sustainability and sources great natural fabrics.
Banana Republic Resin Drop Earrings
Statement earrings are another quick cheat to looking polished on Zoom. I always keep a pair near my desktop (and in my purse, and in my car). I love the geometric shape and the pretty tortoise shell pattern and the fact that I can pop these on, put on some lipstick and look put together in 30 seconds.
GAP Gauze Jumpsuit
A jumpsuit is the easiest outfit ever. It’s one thing to put on, and you’re dressed from head to toe. This gauzy piece is light and airy, so it will be great going into summer. There is one obvious and problematic downside: it is annoying to go to the bathroom while wearing a jumpsuit. But I love the look and the feel, so I’ll take on the challenge.
J.Crew Ella Open Front Sweater Blazer
I tend to get chilly, even in my own house. This sweater blazer feels like a warm hug but the polished lapel and fitted sleeve will fool anyone into thinking you’re wearing a real blazer.
Madewell “Spring Fling” Puff Sleeve Peplum Top
Women's Shirts
Everyone is on the hunt for the perfect "Zoom top.” Something comfortable that looks professional and is easy to throw on with any pair of pants. Madewell is a great resource for airy, flattering shirts and blouses that look polished on camera. The wrap shape creates a really pretty neckline that is not too low (be careful with cleavage on Zoom as we all tend to bend forward towards the camera) and the floral pattern is subtle and springy.
Ma’am Shoes CJ Sandal
When I’m working at home, I usually wear UGG slippers. But I often have to kick those off and go for real shoes to run an errand or meet a client, and I’ve become obsessed with the colorful sandals and heels by Ma’am shoes, a small woman-owned company out of California dedicated to craftsmanship and comfort. They provide a happy pop of color to any outfit, and they’re so good that I often wear them out and about, come home and keep wearing them for hours without even thinking of trading them for my slippers.
The Everyday House Dress by Encircled
There’s something about wearing a literal dress that always makes me feel dressed, and yet this house dress is so comfortable I could sleep in it. It's reversible, providing two different necklines (genius!) and the waist-tie can be fastened in the front or the back. The brand, Encircled, is ethical, sustainable, and eco-friendly. In general, they are a great resource for cozy, elevated WFH loungewear.
Vince Camuto Ruched Sleeve Ponte Blazer
Women's Coats & Jackets
I’ve recommended this blazer to so many clients, and they all use it in exactly the same way. They keep it near their work station and throw it on when they have a virtual meeting. It’s a soft jersey material that feels more like a sweatshirt than a suit piece, and it looks great over everything: t-shirts, blouses, your pajama shirt…whatever.
