Freezing Office, Seeking Safe Space Heater!

We all know the horror stories of space heaters catching fire and being destructive, so I am taking my time to research and find one that is safe, cost-effective, and produces a sufficient amount of heat in my shop. I would prefer one that turns off after a certain amount of time, as well, as an added safety feature. Currently relying on a small wall HVAC unit that blows in one direction no where near my desk area, hence always being cold.
