Gel Nail Polish

Has anyone tried gel nail polish? Does it last longer? Wondering if they are worth the premium price they usually have.

I've used Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel polish and really like it. You don't need a UV light, which I like not having to make an extra purchase.

I’ve used the same as Cindy and it stays on pretty well. I prefer their Insta-Dri though because I can never stay still. It stays on just as long.

I love gel nails - but I save them for special occasions. Pricy but my nails grow so fast so that they only look amazing for two weeks before they grow

Gel nail polish is definitely worth it. About 10 months ago, though, I started using Color Street nail polish strips- I love them so much I started selling them! Both a great options for longer lasting manis!

I love a nice gel manicure. I'm with Erica though and only do them for special occasions. My nails are definitely weakened by the gel polish but my nails recover quickly. My gel manicures usually last at least two weeks.

Totally worth it in my opinion! Regular polish = chipped nails within a day or two. Gel polish lasts a minimum of two weeks, but I’ve had my polish on now for almost 4. 💅🏽

I'm not a big fan of gel nail polish because it damages my nails. I have tried several brands and all of them ruined my nails. In my view, it does not worth the premium price.

I have used Gel nail polish. It does last longer, almost as good as the acrylic nails. However, I do agree that if not taken off properly it damages your nails.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to start small and try the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish and see how that holds up. I went with a really pretty color called Love Me Lilac.

I just had gel on my fingernails. The lasting power is amazing, but when a nail breaks, it's likely breaking to the nail bed due to the way the polish adheres to the nail's surface. Also it is much harder to remove.

On my hands I always get SNS. I like how neat it always turns out and how thin and natural my nails look. For my toes I get gel. I had did it once because I had got my nails done on my lunch break and needed to put my foot back in my shoe. But after I realized how nice they looked I haven't been back to regular nail polish.

You should try Color Street. I am happy to send you a free sample to try. Lasts for 7-10 days and it’s super easy to do at home.

Sara Marie its so fun and easy to do at home. No tools needed. I did my nails on the train one time and didn’t have to wait for dry time.

I struggle with my cuticles and gel... but i think it works.... but polishes are so great now that it almost isn't worth it - i guess depends on pricing?

If I am getting my hands done, I always use gel. It can make your nail polish last so much longer and will not chip. 10/10 recommend.

I personally like SNS better. I feel like gel sometimes look a little chunky. However, whatever you pick they both last way longer than nail polish without any chipping.

Totally worth the price. It stays for so much longer and it saves you time at the salon not having to wait for it to dry! Try it for yourself and see!!
