Gel or Shellac

With summer around the corner sell me on your preference between gel or shellac polish? What’s your pros and cons between the two? Also is anyone using dip?

Gel definitely!

Shellac is a brand. It is a version of gel polish. Shellac is better… The difference between shellac and gel is shellac is 50/50 nail polish and gel polish, and the soak-off is fantastic. You wrap the nail with shellac offly fast. Gel polish is 100% gel Polish, the nail is roughened before application with some brand, and you have to file the topcoat off to soak. Overall, Shellac is healthier for your nails.

Dip is a thinner version of acrylic used with super glue. There are other healthier alternatives that give the same results.

Gel lasts really well...some almost 3 weeks but it is really tough on nails. Dazzle Dry also lasts but much better for nails. I try to switch back and forth.

Susan Smith I agree that Dazzle Dry is much better for your nails. It's a non-toxic product that is a healthier alternative to gel polish. It dried in 5 min. I have replaced regular gel man with this. My vegan gel mani has vitamins in the base coat.

I’ve used to use dips until I discovered Aimeili Builder Base and No Wipe Top Set. It’s in my recommendations 😍

Catherine Hazen definitely try it. Sometimes need to do it 2 times for it to work with your nails.

Shellac is awesome for longevity, however my experience and some of my friends is that it strips your nails. It took me over 3 months to grow them out again.
