I love walking around Waikiki/Honolulu. So much to see, including the other tourists! Definitely stop by the courtyard of the Moana Surfrider and have a drink under the giant banyan tree. Not to be missed. If you have kids, spend a day at the Ko Olina Lagoons. Great hiking and amazing views at diamond head. Oh, and Hanauma Bay is amazing even if you don't love snorkeling. Get there early to beat the crowds.
Honolulu is a real city with real restaurants, unlike some tourist spots. You can get excellent food there. Not sure what survived the pandemic, though. What sort of food are you looking for? It's fun to just try Hawaiian fare - poke, hawaiian hot dogs, shave ice. Great japanese food too, if you are into sushi.
