Hypnosis

Our daughter has a long standing phobia of needles stemming from some traumatic experiences in China before we adopted her. We were thinking hypnosis might help. Anyone have thoughts?

Reach out to Betty at altavenues.com. We have been seeing her the past year for parent coaching, but I know she does hypnotherapy. She is awesome!

My son has an extreme fear of needles. One time he literally fainted when I took him to get the flu shot. He managed to make it through his shot (after 30 minutes of resistance), but promptly fainted when I got mine! Bribery has helped a bit, along with the passage of time. Seems to be easing as he gets older, but slowly. Just turned 11. I'm hoping that a year of covid lockdown will help crystalize the benefits of the vaccination shot. Maybe we should try hypnosis too.

I once offered to pay our daughter (age 9) $1000 to get a flu shot right then (we were walking by a pop up). She declined. And that was 2005 $! So bribery doesn't work very well in our case. ; )
