I have the same problem! What seems to be working for me is washing and prepping my fruits & veggies then storing them in glass containers as soon as I come home from the store. That way it's on hand and ready to go and gets used a lot sooner before going bad.
My solution is a bit more mental reminders than a product but we love getting Imperfect Foods for delivered fruits and veggies. It delivers every Monday so it's basically a timeline that we know we have to eat what we have before the next delivery comes and it rarely goes bad and has definitely helped lessen our waste.
For herbs and spinach bags, I place a piece of terracotta clay (same one you use for keeping brown sugar from clumping, but in this case I put the clay piece in dry to absorb all the moisture), works well!
I know it’s a bit late, but I struggled with finding this for you, given I didn’t have the packaging when I initially purchased.
Debbie Beyer’s “Green Bags” are pretty good to help extend the life of your produce. It’s one of those “As seen on TV” type products that touts extending their life up to 9 days more than not using them. Comes with 8 medium sized bags, 8 large bags, and 4 extra large bags. I honestly don’t even remember how much I paid for them, because when I saw them, it was an instant must, given I like to cook and eat a lot plant-based meals and fresh fruits n veggies in general. I purchased it at my local Kroger, but I’m sure you could find them in one of your local grocers, if not online.
They work great for my needs and keep me from running to the store as often when I don’t eat up everything before its normal shelf life takes hold.
