You can also buy busy bags on etsy and choose what kind of entertainment thingies you definitely want!

Are you looking for bag ideas, or entertainment ideas? I have both, maybe :)

A couple of things I liked when my kids were little were the Melissa and Doug Reusable Sticker Pads and the Melissa and Doug Mess Free Glitter Activity Kits. Fun to do, minimal mess.

How old are the kids? We took a gigantic road trip in the fall with our kids and I bought mp3 players for each kid. Dirt cheap and kept them entertained for weeks, once I'd loaded them up with audio books, music, etc. Kids aged 5-13.

Adam Doppelt that is a great idea! My kids are right in that age range and love music and audio books. Thank you!

We are huge fans of Mad Libs! There are so many different kinds, and we always do a "make your own" game too. We also love trivia to pass the time. The Brain Quest series comes in all ages.
