Moderately Priced Treadmills

My partner's father is in the market for a treadmill and we looked at Fresh Chalk to see if we could find a recommendation but there weren't many added here yet. Hoping I can give him a few ideas that aren't too expensive. He definitely wants something with a hand rail and knowing him, probably wants something with some fun interface features. Thanks in advance!

We have a NordicTrack T6.5s. If you’re looking for a a space saver one, this is not it. It’s big but has a lot of features that we haven’t taken advantage of yet. We’ve had it for quite a while now and it still works great with speed up to 10mph and an incline of 10.

We bought the ProForm 6.0 RT Folding Total Body Workout treadmill from Target and we have been happy with it. I like that the walking piece folds up fairly easily. Has programs you can follow, and has bands that attach to the machine that you can use for an arm workout while you are walking.

I've heard that treadmills (and ellipticals) can be very finicky. A lot of people recommend Precor as the sturdiest, since they also make commercial gym equipment. Buy one used if you can!

I don’t own a treadmill but I will say that Nordictrack has terrible customer service (had to get a lawyer to get a full refund for a rowing machine they sold me that never worked correctly). So if they are looking at nordictrack I would strongly advise them to reconsider.
