Something old, blue, borrowed, new...

My daughter is getting married in two months. I want to give her something special, but not sure I want to giver her jewelry because I know she will not want to wear anything outside of what she has already chosen to wear. What are some ideas for special gifts.

My mother-in-law gave me a Kitchen Aid. I love it and use it all the time and have had no problems with it in the 18 years I've owned it. Now they even come in really great colors and designs.

If you have your wedding dress brides have requested garters/ringbearer pillows/or other things to be made from it or a heart cut out of it to sew next to their heart!

When I got married, we received several heirlooms from relatives that we treasure to this day. My great uncle and great aunt gifted me a piece of the Irish cut crystal set that belonged to my great great grandparents. My aunts put together a throw pillowcase made from some crocheted lace that my great grandmother had made, and had our names and wedding date embroidered on the back. And my husband's great grandmother, who was still alive at that time, gifted us with the silver wire champagne basket she used on her wedding night!

Is she into art? If so, a unique art piece, a limited edition photograph or serigraph by an artist/style she loves could be something she’ll definitely cherish for years to come. The ArtSy app is a good place to start.
