Coffee Pod Cutter Tool

We have a Keurig coffee maker, and I am looking for a tool to take the coffee pods apart after use. For City of Austin, you put the plastic cup in recycling and the paper filter and grounds in compost. My current method of taking the foil off with a knife and separating the parts by hand is messy, time consuming and possibly not the safest.

Hi Julie! Hats off to you for taking the time to separate things correctly! It's so tedious to separate instead of toss in the trash but the planet thanks you. I am not sure about a tool for those cups, but a few years back I switched to these Maxware reusable K-cups and they still work great. You add your own coffee, brew, and then when you are done you just compost the grounds. Less trash, safer, and likely less time consuming than separating the materials of the single use cups. May be worth a try!

This multi-functional use coffee pod cutter is a safe alternative to manually breaking apart pods or using sharp tools or razors that dull over time to remove the foil top.
