Eco-safe sunblock & bug spray

We are traveling to Hawaii this summer (yay!!!), and hope to do some snorkeling, caving, and all that good stuff. Does anyone have a recommendation for a sunblock and/or bug repellent that is reef-safe and still feels good on your skin?

I love anything with Citronella in it as a bug repellent and I've been told by a dermatologist to use Sunscreens with Zinc rather than all the other carcinogenic chemicals. You may be paying more upfront for one of these types of premium SPF, but your skin and health will thank you in the long run.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Sunscreen Clear Spray is great! I was able to get a great deal at Sam's Club on them last time I was in Florida.

We use Skeeter Screen. (Originally got it at Whole Foods) It works really well, it is deet free - and smells not terrible. It also helps deter ticks and chiggers. If you are from the midwest you will do anything to not get chigger bites, they are the worst. I took it with me on a trip home to the midwest and it seemed to work really well, no ticks or chiggers - yay!! I am not 100% sure it is reef safe, but it is a natural product, made with essential oils and is biodegradable. The Elta MD sunscreen we use is also reef friendly ,we use either the Pure broad spectrum spa 47 or the UV elements product.
