Estate Planning Help

The attorney I used for my will 15 years ago is retiring. Can anyone recommend an independent or boutique person who does this? Not super complex but we do need to update it.

I recently used Phinney Estate Law. I found the reasonably priced and easy to work with. They are located in the East Greenlake area.

Just to add one more name to the pile, I recommend Natasha Black. A friend, did a great job with our estate. She's independent and a total pro.

+1 for Kanoa Ostrem. He is great and we used him once pre kid then again 10 years later for minor updates.

This is helpful. What price range might I expect for creation of a basic will. Married couple, no kids.

I was really happy working with Michael to set up ours - family with two kids a few years ago, it was $750 (not sure current rate, but he can is clear and straight forward in his process).

We have a trust that we got about 15 years ago. We paid Phinney Estate Law $500 to review it and make updates to it.

Some of depends on how complex your situation is and how much you want to spend. Ranges are $1000 for a basic package (will, health care directive, etc) to over $10k if you have a complicated situation. We have worked with Kanoa for clients with simple needs and he is solid. Laura Hoexter is a star!

I highly recommend Jeff Mirsepasy. He handles my will and updates for a very reasonable price.

+1 for Kanoa Ostrem. He set up our estate plan years ago and over the years helped make a couple of minor changes for free (name changes for beneficiaries/trustees)
