Firewood delivery

I have a wood burning fireplace in my house, and recently discovered how much firewood it takes to keep the thing going for a couple hours. It’s a lot! Who can I hire to deliver a bunch of firewood to me?

Not sure about delivery services, but on a weekend try going out and buying more of a hardwood (cherry, or something similar). A tad more exp but burns hotter and longer so in the long run a better value.

Ah! Good idea. Would you start at a hardware store? I suppose I could load up the trunk of the Subaru and make the kids unload it :)

I think you want split oak logs that have been down for at least two years. Your guy needs to stack it where you specify and you should keep a tarp over it to keep it dry. Things to avoid--damp wood, green logs, lots of bark. Better yet, have a gas log installed and fuggedabout all that wood and dirt.

Yep I know an awesome one! 3inatree. I’ll get their website and write a review soon! They deliver and stack. It’s super competitive. A few college kids built the online ordering service.

I haven't needed wood here. My condo fireplace is gas. There are a bunch of places on Route 2 but I haven't used them

Sayers Fuel on Rainier. sayersfuelandlandscapemater... I’ve used them for compost delivery and they also have firewood!

I actually get a lot of mileage out of my neighborhood Buy Nothing group. We keep a tarp in the back of our SUV. My wife gets help loading at the site, and I unload when I get home. It's not professional, but it's free.
