Help for mask acne.

What has helped you with your mask acne? Wondering if anyone found some great products that helped them with acne maybe something under makeup or a toner of some kind?

If wearing a mask for a long time I recommend not putting makeup where your mask goes.
I have started washing my face more often. And I love love love oil cleansers for the face. I use the badger rose face cleanser. I will exfoliate about twice a week if wearying a mask a lot.
Origins has a salicylic acid treatment I spot treat with.

I am a huge fan of Paula's Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant! Takes a few months to see results, but I notice that it takes a few days to diminish the appearance of blemishes

Agreed with Lisa Williams! I was blessed with pretty good skin but I think it’s because I’m preemptive with my care. I just started using SkinnyFit Collagen (Fruit Punch) and noticed that my skin seems a little tighter. Doesn’t seem to be helping much with my hair breakage though.

On the weekly, I create my own mask using Bentonite Clay. You just add water and can make it as thick or thin as you want.

Hi! I recommend using a gentle cleanser or wipe such as a micellar water plus a hydrating moisturizer or facial oil to help soothe, create a barrier and help against chaffing. Keeping the area clean will help against breakouts and since you have to wear a mask, I'd look into a tinted moisturizer or something more lightweight under your mask :) For anyone interested, I carry a great mask and facial oil :

Thanks!

I have been doing mini facials to help with this issue. I also found a really good article on mask acne and how to treat it: usdermatologypartners.com/b...

Avoid makeup where your mask goes, and make sure you're moisturizing your skin well so that it doesn't overproduce sebum. Any time I do get a blemish, I use Differin to treat it (it's a retinoid, so make sure to apply sunscreen if you use anything with retinol in it!). I recently tried Mighty Patch from Hero Cosmetics for a big pimple on my chin and OMG it was amazing! It cleared it up in half the time it would have taken normally.

I’m also huge on grinding organic raw oat meals oats to a powder then making a small amount of paste with water. Apply the paste and leave it over night. Your pimple will disappear or decrease.

My husband started using the body and face cloth by Norwex. It just keeps it at his desk with a spray water bottle to clean his face. Let me know if you want more info on it! I love the Norwex masks that actually reduce acne by 80% ! They're easy to breathe through as well. Also, note how you're laundrying them because what you're washing your masks with is now all over your face and sweat glands.

My nutritionist told me to stay away from disposable paper face masks because of the toxic chemicals they contain. After researching, I was shocked at what I learned were in the face masks, especially made in China. So, now I will only use cloth face masks, and wash with a safe laundry detergent for my sensitive skin. No mask acne for me.
