Non-alcoholic drink suggestions

I like the non-alcoholic drinks these days. Any favorite mixes? Prepared or home recipes? Do tell!

Oh my goodness...how much time do you have?

Bitters and soda is one of my favorite. You can try different flavors of bitters and flavored water for variation, and I like to squeeze half a tangerine in there, too, sometimes.

GT Dave’s Sacred Life kombucha (aka Smurf Juice...it’s blue) is my favorite in the probiotic category although I also love the spring seasonal from GT’s, which is called Bloom. Runner up for probiotic drinks is Aqua Kefir, also from GT’s...they’re all good.

Fever Tree has an incredible lemon tonic water. Also an elderflower tonic water. Impossible to say which I prefer; they’re quite different but both *so* good.

Spindrift soda waters are excellent...they’re sparkling water with a tiny bit of juice added. Also make great mixers.

Spirity Cocktails has a great “Mindful Mule” and “Mindful Margarita” that are great to take to a party or picnic.

I also really like the NA “spirits” from Ritual Zero Proof. The tequila and whiskey are both a little spicy. I don’t honestly remember the gin very well because I like the other two so much I stick with those.

Seedlip is one more maker I’d recommend. I’m not as versed in their offerings but I’ve liked what I had.

In terms of using these spirits, I often add them to soda water and fresh juice. Or I spike the kefir or kombucha. It’s fun to play! My latest fave is like a paloma...Ritual tequila with grapefruit Spindrift and the juice of half a tangerine. Not too sweet, low in calories, and super refreshing and satisfying on a hot day!

Happy sampling. 🙂

I like to make herbal syrups from my garden. Boil 1 cup of sugar with 1.5 cups water and add whatever you have: mint of course, rosemary is great, lemon balm, lavender, basil. After 5 minutes of boiling, strain through cheesecloth and refrigerate. You can add these to plain or sparkling water and they are super refreshing. Adding citrus juice kicks it up another notch. A lot of them are good in iced coffee, especially rosemary and lavender; they would improve iced tea too! Adding alcohol is not against the rules either. ;)

I highly recommend Cloud Water - it's a low sugar sparkling water and they have an Immunity and CBD line. The flavors are amazing and they work great in mocktails :)

I love a good “shrub” and sparking water. I make my own when there is ripe fruit around (it’s insanely easy). Girl Meets Dirt makes some nice ones.

Q Mixers make the BEST mixers, hands down! They have a hibiscus ginger beer that I've been obsessed w/ lately. Mix that with their elderflower tonic water, a flavored seltzer of your choice and some frozen fruit and you have a non-alcoholic sangria that is DELISH!!
