Hey Amy. You might want to start with the Seattle Tenant's Rights Hotline - tenantsunion.org/programs/t.... I called them once and was blown away by how good they were. You will have trouble finding a lawyer who wants to deal with small cases. They will tell you to go to small claims court.

One important thing - start documenting what's happening. Take pictures. Save emails. If you send something to your landlord, use certified mail so you can prove that it was received. If you make it to court you will need this, otherwise you have no hope of prevailing. Start a folder or a Google Doc.
