The teaching staff at T.E.A is caring, compassionate, and they run a tight ship. The owner is a great educator that treats her team well and pro-actively seeks feedback from parents. They even sponsor learning events, like an evening course on positive discipline.

About The Exploration Academy

About

The Exploration Academy is an early education and care facility serving children from ages 1-6 years old.

Application

The Exploration Academy requires a non-refundable application fee to create a file for each child. This fee does not guarantee enrollment. If there is no immediate opening, the application is put into the wait pool.

Wait Pool

Families will be contacted in April for any available enrollment opportunities beginning in July, August or September. Should any spots become available after these times, the administration will select from the wait pool. If childcare needs change after applying, please contact the the facility directly.

Child Development Rooms

Tea Cup Room - Ages 1-2

Children are encouraged to connect with their teachers and strengthen understanding of their world.

Tea Party Room - Ages 2-3

Teachers assist students in dialogue, observations, and documentation. They invite and encourage children's active participation in their own learning.

Young Preschool Room - Begins at age 2.5

Children investigate topics that encourage research efforts that result in answering questions. Children will also participate in experiential and hands-on activities, play, dialogue and discussion.

Upper Preschool Room - Ages 3-4

The children will learn to discuss and interact with their peers and learn how to negotiate and constructively problem solve.

Spanish Dual Language Program- Ages 3-5

This full-time (M-F) program offers Spanish language instruction in English to encourage children to become bilingual. This is a preschool and pre-k program encourages instruction in a mixed aged classroom environment (ages 3-4 & 4-5). Children develop both language and social skills.

K-Prep Room - Ages 4-6

The K-prep classroom introduces children to readiness skills and support for emotional, physical, and social development. The environment encourages creativity and a sense of community with each individual's contribution.
