Recently started hiking and I need better footware. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money but anywhere from $100-130 preferred, also from REI if possible! Thank you!
I like Merrell. Can you go wrong with a cheap pair of Merrells? I don't think so. They have a ton of styles under $100. Probably wouldn't bother with boots. Go for it!
If you're aware of the benefits of barefoot/minimalist shoes and are willing to take the time to strengthen your feet the Vibram Five Fingers are excellent, and they have ones with thicker soles for more protection. I always do long hikes in Five Fingers.
I love the brand ON I just ordered a pair of trail shoes and I love them! They are lightweight and breathable and have an awesome tread for traction #onrunning #runonclouds
La Sportiva Hiking Boots for Women are great! I've hiked the Grand Canyon 3 times in mine and they have held up very well. I have a narrow foot with a slight high arch so they hug my foot and provide the support that I need for both long and short hikes.
I REALLY like my Vasque Breeze. Normally they're a little more spendy than you're looking for but I happen to see they are on 50% off sale right now at REI: Heck, *I* should get an extra pair.
