We are getting ready to remodel our kitchen and we have decided to go with a double wall oven. Any advice how to choose one? Anyone love theirs? Looking for any and all recommendations.
We have an older style double wall oven and one broke while other one is working. I find it cumbersome to replace with anything else except an exactly same style and size. I personally don’t want that style anymore.
I love our double oven for obvious reasoning of cooking/baking space. We have the Kitchenaid double oven & not sure I’d recommend it 5yrs later… if it gets used too long, the fan within starts almost shrieking (annoying) & they aren’t the same heat - so one is better for baking. Kitchenaid/Whirlpool (in our experience) doesn’t help or stand behind their products. But you’ll love the double oven for convenience especially around the holidays if you host!
King county library system has free access to consumer reports. I just checked and they have a number of electric double wall ovens that they have reports and they grade them all. It's a pretty user friendly site, and what I used when we bought a new fridge recently. Just go to KCLS.org and go to "Online Library" and click on "Consumer and Automotive" and you'll have to scroll down to Consumer reports. You'll have to log into your library account, but other than that it's free. A good place to start.
