Needing a new blender (that won't break the bank!)

Unfortunately, having my tonsils removed next week & don't have a blender! Maybe a wives tale, but heard lots of ice cream/milk shakes afterwards!? So I need some recs, please! Thanks in advance! :D

And any tips for making the recovery less painful besides the ice cream/shakes is always appreciated!

Best of luck it is so worth It, had mine done 11 yrs ago, but it took me 4-5 weeks of recovery. Lots of rest, stick to liquids even if you want to eat something not super smooth you don't want to scratch the scabs when they are healing. Accept a lot of help and even if you feel like you can do some of your normal stuff just don't rest! I had a hard time not doing more than I should and it prolonged my recovery. Long broad games were my friend, puzzles and books. I don't have an inexpensive blender recommendation. I have a vita mix and it is so worth the investment.

Vitamix is my favorite but I have heard good things about the Ninja one.

Vitamix and Ninja are great options. Cuisinart is often a more affordable and trustworthy brand as well. Careful with the dairy options...those always make me phlegmy and cough more. I shied away from that when I had oral surgery cause I figured the extra coughing would be unpleasant.

All of the good (decent) blenders are several hundred, but consider them a long term investment depending on how much you plan on using it.

I got my Ninja two years ago and it is still as good as day one. Before the Ninja I went through like 3 and this one is just better!! The different settings are so great for many uses.
