Robot Vacuum & Floor Washers?

We are considering using a robot to vacuum and wash our dance studio floors at night. The dance floors are vinyl, between 1000-1200 square feet, with no obstructions.

I understand that a model that maps the floor and self empties is best for our situation. Do they make floor washers that self empty and refill?

Which brand do you recommend?

Thanks

We use a deebot n8 which also has a pro version that has an auto-empty bin. It also has a mop. It works very well. You have to manually fill it with water though. There are no robots thus far that auto-refill/empty water for a mop.

Hi Jacob, and thank you. Yes, in reading up on the model you suggest, the advance sonar feature is very interesting. I did not see square footage limits in their description though. Do you happen to know what they are? And the vacuum empties itself out, does the wash water?

The robot will go re-charge and resume as necessary to clean the entire area. The wash water does not empty, so you would need to manually re-fill the water and replace the mop pad, but that only takes a minute.

I also learned that it will wash up to 2000 sf which would meet my needs.

Hi Victoria! What model iRobot do you have?

We're happy with our Roomba vacuum (i7). You'd probably want to get whatever the newest version is that comes with the self-emptying base, the management software can coordinate scheduling that along with the robot mop. There is still maintenance, hair etc can still get tangled so I recommend regular light disassembly + cleaning. We do weekly.

As dramatic as it is, I couldn’t live without my Roomba. I’m very seriously contemplating getting the mopping one as well!
