Adam Doppelt Ha, great! More details for the curious - we like the three gallon bio bags. Rubber band helps a lot. Hardest part is not losing the rubber bands, especially now that I've trained my kids to empty the thing.

Adam Doppelt, My husband tried to get me to employ the rubber band method, but sadly, I lose the rubber band ALL the time, so I am back to holding the bag while I put heavy stuff in the container. Oh well.

Adam Doppelt Crazy? No. Stinky and maybe annoying? Possibly :) We tried that for a while. Can gets real dirty and it's more difficult to empty. It might depend on how often you fill the bin.

Kelsey Lockard We don't use bags in our compost bin - but we do keep it in the freezer! It sounds weird, but it keeps the smell and the fruit flies away!
