Talk to me about the mopping robot vacuums ...

We have done the Roomba and Eufi. Both have not been that impressive. I have been tossing around the idea of trying the mopping robot vacuum but don't want to waste money if they really aren't that much better.

following. I have a rooma 950 and it works very well. Curious about the mopping vacuum.
Fresh Chalk Team maybe you can get some demo units for us to try :) Might be a new opportunity.

We have a Roborock E4 that I bought recently. It’s on the low end of the price scale. It also vacuums. It has a small receptacle you can empty for vacuuming. The mop works pretty well, you fill a reservoir and attach a mopping pad. If you have fairly caked on stuff it’s not going to clean it, but it’s great for getting pet hair and dust. To use the mop, it’s recommended you vacuum first, then use the mop or else it will push stuff around. It does an OK job of room mapping. You can’t set parameter or ‘no go’ zones with the E4, so I have to block areas off I don’t want it to go. I’d recommend higher priced models with Lidar, which supposedly do a better job of both of these things. The E4 also does a good job of untangling if you have fringe on a rug, but it does sometimes get caught for a few minutes. The E4 is also not app compatible, if that is something you’d like. Overall, for about $350, I’m pretty happy with the E4 performance. I don’t mind keeping an eye on it. If you really don’t want to think about it at all, I’d go with a model that has more bells and whistles. I hope this is helpful, let me know if there’s a question you have I haven’t addressed.

I had a mopping Roombas in the past and had lots of issues with them. I now have a Bissel Crosswave that is amazing for wet mopping and vacuuming at the same time. Yes you have to push it around (it's not a robot), but it get's my floors so clean - also can freshen up carpet in the wet vac mode.

Susan, does your cross wave leave streaks? I purchased mine when we moved into our new home and It has left streaks since I got it. We have two dogs and dark floors so everything is visible and it makes me so sad!

I found that it sucks up the water better by pulling it rather than pushing it to get rid of the streaks (my final pass of an area is in reverse). Not ideal but I'm willing to walk it back to get those hardwood floors clean from my two messy dogs!

The 360 C50 Robot Vacuum and Mop - available for purchase on Amazon - is a great product to buy, and it does not cost much relative to similar products. I actually got this a few months back and find that its effective, convenient, and super cool to use.
