Absolutely amazing! I live in mine all summer long. Straps are durable enough to handle a few seasons.

There's never been a hike I couldn't tackle in my Chacos! I don't like dealing with socks bunching or sweaty feet. God forbid you get really wet, and there's not a lot worse than hiking in wet shoes/socks. Chacos (for me!) are comfy on day one, have great traction & arch support, and are perfect for conditions that might get wet (I don't really believe in hiking without a water feature along the way!). Plus, they pack light for travel!
Cindy Sersig I don't know that I would like all the sand that would get on my feet while hiking but I agree with the water features. There's been several time we end up with wet shoes because the boys just can't look and not get in lol

Melissa Gallagher Cindy Sersig That drives my little crazy too. But I'm a barefoot type of gal, so I'd rather sand and rocks than socks! I hate socks unless it's freezing out!

I picked up a pair of Chacos to bring on hikes where I knew I'd get my feet wet. I've brought them on every backpacking trip I've been on since I bought them. They stay on my feet really well without having to readjust them, and they don't get slippery when wet. The strappy design also makes it easy to customize your fit. Full disclosure--they take a while to break in, so I recommend wearing them for an hour at a time for a week or two before you plan on adventuring with them. After that, they're great!
