Is it time for an Apple watch?

I've had a couple garmin's, and even a fitbit once and loved them. But I find myself working out at home more (rather than in the pool/gym/outdoors) and wanting to track between Peloton, iFit and combine data from places like iHealth, Wiithings scales, and the like. Husband has been trying to talk me into the Apple watch. Do you have one? Do you like it? Trying to also decide if I need the gps+cellular version so if you do have one, how do you feel about that?

Ambyr Jansen can you give some insight on your Apple Watch?

I personally love my Apple Watch. I wear it to work as an RBT so it goes through A LOT and it holds up! It’s great for working out, tracking steps, it can get wet with no issues. It’s amazing. I don’t have the cellular version but I find I don’t really need it. The range is pretty far from my phone and it still loads and acts as if it was my phone. I wish it was easier to send texts and that it had its own camera but that’s all I have for negativity. I have a sport band that’s water proof and fits my child sized wrist lol. Water mode also works great if you have kids with touchy fingers!

I know I'm not using mine to its fullest extent, so hopefully more experts chime in, but here's what I can contribute. I can't figure out how to get it to track steps (it seems to only track "calories" which I dislike on multiple levels). I also am frustrated that since I use Spotify and don't "own" music, I need to carry my phone with me to listen to music through my airpods on a run (I don't have gps/cellular). So, my issues may just be due to user ignorance... but I continue to wear it every day and sometimes like the reminders to breathe and stand up :)

I have gone back and forth from the apply watch and fitbits over the years! I started with the FitBit then went to Apple then back to Fitbit. I did that a couple times and found that the Fitbit was way more accurate at step tracking. HOWEVER, I now have the newer Apple Watch and LOVE IT. I don't foresee going back to another watch. I love that if I am out on a run/walk, I don't have to bring my phone and if someone calls me I can still be contacted?

Thank you all for your feedback so far. I'm feeling like I have an apple purchase in my future. So much for resisting lol!

I bought one for my wife for Christmas. She had been using a fitbit for years (we've gone on many hikes abroad and used it to track steps/distance). The features of the new Series 6 are just too good to pass up. It's so great to know your blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and having emergency fall detection (my wife is prone to feinting). On top of that it has so many fitness app integrations.. I decided it was time to upgrade her from the fitbit. She has loved it.

Just as a means of follow up - I finally pulled the trigger and picked up my Apple Watch. I've had it for a few days now and I'm addicted. Thanks all for your help!
