Liz Pearce - Best manicures east of I-5. Nice atmosphere, super friendly service. Good magazine selection :)
Rebecca Lovell - Sen is the best! Quiet, professional, gentle, efficient, everything I'm looking for in a salon experience. And fun to go with friends!
Leslie Feinzaig - My team and I went to get manicures and pedicures at Sen Salon. They had a private room and enough technicians so they could accommodate all of us at once! They did a great job, will definitely go again.

Michelle Flandreau - They are very busy, so book in advance. Their staff is fantastic!
Sarah Bird - Lots of seats. Great color selection. Clean.
Maria Hess - Apollo feels like a good middle-ground between super fancy spas and the lower-end spots. They also have a better atmosphere than most and would be good for hosting a group (bachelorette, birthday, etc.)

Matt Shobe - Brandon is awesome for men's cuts; I've been going to him since I moved here in 2009. As he's the owner, you'd sure hope so — but he's an excellent guy who knows how to listen, interpret, and give you the exact cut you want with a little bit of flair. Shop has a chill vibe, is dog friendly, and a convenient Fremont location.
Alicia Nakamoto - Jenny and Brandon are amazing hair stylists and Jenny specializes in color.
Scott Haug - Brandon is old-school enough to get my Dad's seal of approval. He's good with kids and my wife has no complaints when I get home from one of my 1:1s with him.
  • 4126 E Madison St 100, Seattle • Madison Park
JoAnne Jaspan - Cute little studio in Madison Park, have had nothing but good, professional service and results.
Melinda Torres - Way better than waxing!
Siri Angeles - Melissa is amazing! She makes you feel surprisingly comfortable, in an awkward and uncomfortable situation. 😬

Wendy Quast - Anjanette is the first stylist to get my blonde color EXACTLY as I described and desired. She’s quick, experienced, and a wonderful person all around.
Devon Burns - Erin Bradford is a wonderful stylist. She is very meticulous and provides guidance for what kind of style will work best for you.
Michelle Flandreau - Would highly recommend Susie for color and Erica for haircuts.

Hey y'all - I'm in search of a good tailor and dry cleaner on Capitol Hill. Any suggestions?

Liz Pearce Green Dry Cleaners at 15th and John - super nice and the owner has done a number of alterations for me.
Meredith Fife I think the tailor depends on what you need fixed. If it's outdoor gear, I've heard great things about Rainy Pass Repair. Northwest Tailor and Cleaners has some great reviews on FC , but I think they are Queen Anne. Hope you find someone!

Meredith Fife @Anni @TonyO Do either or you know of one?
Meredith Fife Brooklyn, I just heard someone recommend Shanti Threading Salon in Ballard. I noticed they have a Cap Hill location too, so maybe it's worth looking into. Hope that helps!
Brooklyn Benjestorf Thanks @meredf I'm making an appointment today!

Siri Angeles Kane Bowen is great! kanebowenhair.com
Kari O'Driscoll Charlotte at Gene Juarez in U Village is the best. She started cutting my daughters' hair when they were in elementary school and saw them through all sorts of styles - short, asymmetrical, one side shaved, highlights and brilliant shades of red and purple. She is sweet and patient and amazing. She also cuts my hair, but I'm way less adventurous than my daughters (who are now 20 and 17, and don't remember any other hair stylist from their lives).
Carolyn Gracz Anne McGowan at Coupe Rokei. Always patient and ready to listen, even after 30 years of cutting my hair.
